What about the veil of forgetfulness?

Why can't we remember God, Heaven, True Identity, Reality, and anything before our physical birth.

Well, actually, we CAN. However, since God is non-coercive, this memory can't be forced on us. We have to accept it willingly, and achieving this willingness can take many years and many lifetimes.

Here's a great metaphor. Remember that old TV series, "Bewitched?" If Samantha truly wanted to be mortal to make her marriage work better, why did it never occur to her to cast a spell on herself that would simply make her not believe in her witchy nature?

Well, that's what we did when we invested in ego. By focusing our attention on something that is not God (and also not Real) we left the sphere of knowledge and entered the realm of perception. And here we are stuck until we can have the memory of God reborn. For most of us, this seems to be a process that takes place in very small increments over many, many years. Not to worry, though, because time itself is part of the illusion, too.

Just as Samantha would need help in beginning to believe (again) in her true nature and power, so do we. This Help seems to be external at first; but as the memory returns, we see that the Spirit is also part of God, as is Everything Real.
