Does God hear our prayers?

Depends on which 'God' you're praying to.

Most prayers in the part of the planet I live in are really directed to ego, though the word 'God' is used. Anytime a petition is made in prayer to deal with something in the illusory world, the petition is going to ego. God is not involved with illusion; God pertains to Reality.

However, when we begin to see this and are ready to leave an illusion behind, then our prayers are useful to Spirit. The Spirit is the memory of God that we all have in our minds. There is a part of our mind that knows that we are investing in egoistic dreams rather than shared reality.

If you've read my other posts, you know that I don't see God as a person or a being, but rather a word that symbolizes Ultimate Reality. A prayer from within a dream cannot reach Reality; however, a prayer in a dream can symbolize an attempt to reach Reality.

Difficult to understand this concept, if you still believe that you are real. But when you begin to see your life, your body, your identity as symbolic rather than real, you'll begin to get the picture.
