What about words?

Don't get hung up on terminology. This is another excuse the ego invents to not deal with the return to God.

Words are just symbols of concepts. And in this world, even our concepts are symbolic. Words are needed, but aren't as important as we think they are.

As you read this blog, if you find yourself objecting to something because of my word choice, try to keep this in mind: words are symbols of symbols. As such, they have no inherent value. They are only useful to the extent that they help us in our spiritual quest. If a word is not helpful to you, feel free to discard it and find a different symbol that works for you. The concept is important, the word is not.

Example: I use the word "God" frequently. This does not mean that I believe in an old white man in a robe who sits on a throne in heaven. This does not mean that I teach about a supernatural human who lives on Mt. Olympus and throws lightning bolts. When I use the word "God" I am referring to that which is changeless, eternal, perfect, loving, the source of all creation. (This is not something that exists in our cosmos and our human mind can't comprehend it.) It's important as you read this blog (as it is in ALL communication) that you not substitute YOUR definition of words for MINE. In order to understand these entries, you must understand MY word choice and MY definitions. Once you get the concept I'm describing, feel free to choose any other word that you deem more appropriate.
